Official course description: Emphasis is on systems structure and function. The cellular organization of plants and animals leads into physiological processes of higher organisms with great emphasis on humans. Among topics considered are nutrition and digestion, cellular metabolism, circulation, respiration, excretion, nervous and skeletal-muscular systems. Also considered are the chemical interactions of these systems with immunity, hormonal and reproductive processes. Suitable as a Natural Science Elective for a degree in the Division of Sciences.
