Official course description: Offers less-well prepared science majors the fundamental skills necessary to succeed in Chem 6. Emphasizes quantitative problems. Topics include nomenclature, stoichiometry, basic reactions, bonding, and the periodic table. May not receive credit for both Chem 4 and Chem 11. Includes a laboratory/discussion each week. Recommended: concurrent enrollment in Math 3C, 4C or 10A or higher. (F)
