Official course description: This course covers topics in physics using methods of calculus, algebra, and trigonometry, including vector arithmetic. The course includes the study of static and moving charges and the electric and magnetic fields that they generate. The course explores simple circuit analysis, including resistors, capacitors, and inductors. In addition, the course includes topics in waves, geometric optics, diffraction and interference of light waves. Elementary concepts of quantum mechanics are explored and applied to atomic and nuclear physics. As designated by TAG: co- or pre-requisite is Calculus II (MATH 1062).
