an organic acid/diethyl ether solution still contains significant amount of water. should sodium carbonate be used to dry organic layer?

Hi there! Can you give us more detail about this problem? Usually we use anhydrous MgCl2 to absorb the excess water in it. We can also distill if the BP of the organic acid and ether are significantly lower than water.
