can an SN2 reaction on occur if the leaving group is on a sp3 carbon, or can it be on a sp2 carbon as well?

Hey there! It should always be sp3 for an SN2 reaction. Sp2 will have a double bond and double bonds undergo a different type of reaction. I hope this makes sense.
