Which of the following materials is the poorest electrical conductor?

A. Nichrome

B. Copper

C. Aluminum

D. Brass

It's hard to find a table of conductivity of metals in a physics textbook, but many list values of **resistivity**, ρ, for at least a few metals. Remember resistivity is the inverse of conductivity (a more resistive material will be less conductive.)

**Copper** has one of the lowest resistivities (**1.47×10 ^{−8} Ω·m**)—it's a very good conductor.
