Draw the conjugate acid for each of the following bases:
Hey guys, so in this problem we're going to go ahead and figure out the conjugate acid for propylamine, okay? That's it, guys, what do we know about this? we know that the nitrogen has a lone pair, right? It likes to have three bonds which it does, one to carbon and one to two hydrogen, right? And we know that that lone pair can act to, deprotonate something, right? To gain hydrogen, so I'm going to go ahead and use our ammonia again, ammonium, excuse me, NH3 plus there, right? H and H2 plus and what's going to happen is that this lone pair is going to come in, grab a hydrogen kick electrons onto the N, right? Whatever it is and then we end up with, well, we end up with a nitrogen that has three, hydrogens directly attached, right? And we have a positive charge onto that N. Alright guys, let's move on.
