Topics include structure and reactions of alkanes, alkenes, alkynes, alkyl halides, and aromatic molecules; nomenclatureof organic compounds; stereochemistry; reaction mechanisms, dynamics and organic spectroscopy. Students may receive credit for only one of CHEM 3311 and 3351. Department enforced coreq., CHEM 3321 or 3361. Requisites: Requires prerequisite course of CHEM 1131 or CHEM 1133 and 1134 or CHEM 1271 or CHEN 1211 and CHEM 1221(all minimum grade C-). Restricted to Chemistry (CHEM) or Biochemistry (BCHM) majors only.
