The following graph shows the distribution of molecular velocities for the same molecule at two different temperatures (T1 and T2).  Which temperature is greater? Explain.


A line graph with molecular velocity measured in meters per second on the x axis, and the relative number of molecules on the y axis. Line T one increases sharply and peaks at about eight hundred, then approaches zero by eighteen hundred. Line T two increases at a slower rate, reaching a peak about as half as high as that of T one at approximately twelve hundred meters per second. Line B approaches zero at about twenty-seven hundred.
