Perform the following conversion: (e) 22.50 gal/min to L/s

Alright guys, so in this question we want to convert 22.50 gallons per minute to liters per second. So we're converting both units we're going to do this one at a time. So we have 22.50 gallons per minute, to convert gallons to liters we first need to convert gallons to quarts. We know that for every one gallon we have 4 quarts, we put gallon on the bottom because we want to be able to cancel out the units of gallons and then we know that for every one meter we have 1.057 quarts.

We put quarts on the bottom because we want to cancel out the units once again, so now we're left with liters on the top which is what we're looking for. Since we already converted gallons to liters now lets convert minutes to seconds. So we know that for every 1 minute we have 60 seconds, minute goes on the top so we're able to cancel out minutes with minutes. So finally we have the correct units of liters per second which is what we're looking for, so multiply everything on the top and divide by everything on the bottom and you guys should get 1.419 liters per seconds, and that's your final answer. See you guys soon.
