Bilateral symmetry is found in many animals, even humans. This is the even distribution of body parts in an organism. In effect, one side of the organism would be similar to the other side along a particular plane. This is actually an adaptation of early organisms that their offspring eventually gained as part of evolution. This led to a clade of bilateral organisms known as Bilateria.
