Describe the Biological Species concept, Morphospecies concept, and Phylogenetic species concept.
Biological species concept is the concept in which species are defined in terms of interbreeding and produce viability. This concept was invented by Ernst Mayr and stated that species is a group of individuals who can interbreed & produce viable, fertile offspring & doesn't produce this with other members. Ex. Bornean and Sumatran orangutans would not be considered one species because they inhabit two distinct islands. According to biological species concept as they live in two distinct islands so in reality it is not possible for them to interbreed.
