FREE Expert Solution

Cell signaling is the process of sending and receiving signals from one cell to another to communicate. There are three ways for the cells to communicate. It can be through autocrine, paracrine and endocrine signaling.

  • Autocrine signaling: This is a type of cell signaling wherein a cell secretes chemical messenger or hormones to target itself. The secreted chemical messenger or hormones binds to autocrine receptors of the same cell, leading to changes in the same cell.
